In building a successful economy, governments look at build capacity in STEM graduates. They see innovative STEM graduates bringing in creativity, ideas and drive to help the economy grow in various sectors. The STEM skill set is seen as key in today’s society of big data, high performance manufacturing and complex societal challenges.
This event which was jointly hosted by IUMW and Higher Education Academy (HEA) brought together academics and higher education policy makers from the UK, Malaysia and the surrounding region. Discussion were on finding ways to embed innovation into STEM programmes so that graduates can make significant contribution in a super complex world to achieve sustainable economic growth.
