Freshmen from the Bachelor of Computer Science programe at IUMW’s Faculty of Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (FSTEM) successfully organized the first Computer Science and Bonding Day of 2017. All Computer Science and Information Technology students attended the joyful event which was held on the 15th of March.
The main objective of the event was to enhance networking and strengthen the bonds amongst all students, particularly to bridge the gap between seniors and juniors. The event started off with an ice-breaking session and was followed with a welcoming speech by Mr. Steve Griffiths, IUMW’s Vice Chancellor and Prof Dr. Patrice Boursier, the Dean of FSTEM. Also attending the celebration were the academic and administration staff of FSTEM.
Both students and staff found themselves working together while having fun building the tallest paper tower and solving IT puzzles which were just some of the activities held on that day. This has created a fantastic environment for the students to get to know each other and build a solid understanding amongst them through teamwork. The event also proved to be an opportunity for students to become closer knit as a community and pave the way towards mutually helping each other for their future studies. The FSTEM has planned to conduct more innovative activities of this kind from time to time, to help IUMW students enhance their extracurricular, creative, and problem solving skills.
Our September intake is now open for registration. Call us at 03 2617 3131 to grab the opportunity.
