Kenny Tay is a former corporate banking executive of JP Morgan Chase (previously Chase Manhattan Bank NA) and later worked with the United Overseas Bank Group in Australia and Singapore. He is a Chartered Accountant, a Fellow member of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants United Kingdom and also holds a Certificate in Company law from the Macquarie University, Sydney. Since the late 1970s he had served various financial services organizations in different capacity before establishing Finet Associates, a financial skills development organization operating in SE Asia.
He is currently the Managing Consultant of Finet Associates which he co-founded with former banking executives of JP Morgan Chase during the Asian Financial Crisis 1997-98. Finet Associates went on to provide financial skills to financial institutions, multinational organizations and non – bank corporations in the ASEAN region. Subsequently an operating presence was established in Phnom Penh for similar work in Brunei, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.
