Programme Overview
This workshop provides full exposure to audio, videography, photography, and contemporary art techniques to participants that aspire to develop wholesome skills and knowledge in art & media. The workshop promotes creativity and critical thinking among participants through a variety of skills taught in each individual workshop.
Audio & Videography - Provides exposure to audio and videography techniques, with participants able to explore the use of professional accessories such as large cameras & lenses, audio recorders, microphones, and lighting.
Photography - Learn how to deal with the camera and the technical aspects of photography, and understand what makes a good picture, and how to compose and tell a story with your images. Participants get hands-on practice using a studio lighting set-up.
Contemporary art - Teaches participants how to understand, enjoy and produce contemporary art through four processes; understanding art, the use of basic art techniques, conceptualising ideas and finally, producing a contemporary art piece.
The Art After Dawn short course series is an adaptation of Art After Dark by Swansea College of Art, UWTSD Participants will be awarded a certificate of participation endorsed by an international university. Refreshments will be provided.



Mr Yaman Ibrahim
Selected as Malaysia’s FUJIFILM Brand Ambassador, Mr Yaman Ibrahim is a full-time Malaysian photographer based in Kuala Lumpur. His experiences as an art teacher and a senior manager in creative and multimedia gave him the knack to appreciate the finer things that others overlook. His achievements and awards both locally and on an international level has inspired him to explore a new level in photography through experimentation in order to produce enviable photographic results.
Dr Nurul Nisa Omar
An expert in Art and Multimedia, Dr Nisa holds a Ph.D. in Creative Multimedia, Masters of Multimedia and Bachelors of Creative Multimedia (Media Innovation/ Advertising Design) from Multimedia University, Malaysia. As the Dean of the Faculty of Communication, Arts & Media, she is dedicated in the field of learning through art, media and technology. She has done a number of studies on media and creativity, and has won awards at both local and international level.
