Programme Overview

The Internet Engineering programme aims at producing professionals who will spearhead the design and direction of future Internet architecture, network infrastructure and applications. This programme equips graduates with advanced and profound concepts that underlie the design and implementation of Internet-based systems. In addition, students will also acquire practical skills that are crucial for entering the job market.

The field of internet engineering is highly dynamic and fast paced - this programme will cultivate students as leading professionals with great value in an exciting and evolving industry.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Malaysian Students
  • A Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA of 2.75 and above; OR
  • A Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA of below 2.75 with at least FIVE (5) years of working experience; OR
  • Other qualifications approved by the University Senate
International Students
  • A Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA of 2.75 and above; OR
  • A Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA of below 2.75 with at least FIVE (5) years of working experience; OR
  • Other qualifications approved by the University Senate; AND
  • Pass IELTS with minimum Band 6 or equivalent

ASSESSMENT

Assessments under the Master of Science (Internet Engineering) are varied, and are either based on Full coursework (100%), or a combination of coursework (60%) and a final examination (40%). Classes are held face-to-face, and include lectures and tutorials (offline and online). Our students are expected to demonstrate their understanding through several forms of assessments, including examinations, quizzes, reports, projects, presentations, exhibitions, and many more.

Students are expected to undergo three (3) long semesters, which amounts to 40 credit hours (five modules and one dissertation).
