Mr. Gareth Hughes Pays IUMW a Visit

The International University of Malaya-Wales does not take its international reputation lightly. As part and parcel of our celebration of diversity and globalization, IUMW often bridges the gap between its links in Malaysia and the United Kingdom. One way in which IUMW strives to do so is by hosting visiting lecturers from the UK to solidify intercontinental ties and provide students with an experience like no other.

IUMW recently hosted Mr. Gareth Hughes, a Senior Lecturer in the field of Management from the University of Wales Trinity St. David, UK. Mr. Hughes delivered a series of great lectures, workshops, and seminars while meeting and greeting our students. He provided valuable research discussions and feedback to those who needed it and his presence undoubtedly changed the way many of our students think. Being the sport that he is, he participated in counselling sessions with current as well as prospective students. He also did not hesitate to soak up the local university culture by having fun at the various events which the IUMW community organized.

We look forward to having Mr. Hughes with us again and we will be having many more visiting lecturers enriching our campus environment in the future. Our ties with the UK are an integral aspect of our Dual Award and Credit-Transfer Mobility programmes which grant our students the opportunity to expand their education overseas.
