On the 13th of July 2017, IUMW’s Dr Mohd Haizam Mohd Saudi of the Faculty of Business and Law was part of a very fruitful discussion with Professor Felix Oberholzer from Harvard Business School. Professor Oberholzer is a world-renowned expert on corporate strategies and has served Harvard Business School for more than twenty years. He has also been the pioneer for collaborations with several top universities in China.
Following this meeting, IUMW’s representatives had another session with Professor Juan Alcacer at the Harvard Business School on the 20th of July. A highly esteemed academician and specialist in the field of strategic management, Professor Alcacer has been an integral part of the Harvard Business School for over a decade. In addition to his illustrious career, he has worked together with several top universities in South East Asia in research and other academic purposes.
The purpose of both meetings was for these remarkable individuals to spend the day deliberating on an academic collaboration between the two universities in terms of research, publication and corporate strategic management to be offered to potential post-graduate students.
Also attending both meetings were the Education Attaché of the Malaysian Embassy at Washington D. C., Mr Mazwan Abdul Manan and a representative from Widyatama University, IUMW’s academic partner from Indonesia. Professor Oberholzer and Professor Alcacer will be visiting IUMW as guest speakers within the near future. In time to come IUMW will be expanding its reach across a bigger network of prestigious universities around the world.
