It was an evening of food, friendship and fun at the IUMW Iftar celebration held on 8th June 2017. The event was organized by the Student Council of IUMW and was held among the lovely sprawling gardens of the Cassa Detik Bungalows in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
The dinner event began with the arrival of guests at 5.30pm followed by the arrival of Datuk Prof. Dr. Roziah Bt. Omar, Vice Chancellor of IUMW and Mr. Steve Griffiths, Deputy Vice Chancellor of IUMW. The event was launched with a welcoming speech and the Ramadan Takzirah prayers at 6.45pm.
Guests were then treated to a scrumptious buffet spread for the breaking of fast at 7.24pm. There were musical performances by IUMW’s very own talents. The lovely aroma of food mingled with lilting music and happy chatter throughout the evening till the guests dispersed at 8.30pm.
At IUMW, the focus is not just to be a solid foundation for an internationally versatile education. Here, we also strive to inculcate a sense of family, harmony and unity. As we move forward though this holy month of fasting into a wondrous celebration for Hari Raya, IUMW wishes to stand as a testimony to the power of education in fostering a unanimous global nation.
With that, IUMW wishes everyone a splendid Hari Raya celebration.
