IUMW recently held its 5th Convocation Ceremony at Connexion Conference and Event Centre. A total of 333 graduates proudly received their scrolls, making it IUMW’s largest convocation to date. For the very first time, the IUMW Choir joined the convocation celebrations, singing both the Malaysian and Welsh national anthem, as well as The Honoraries’ Deep into the Wild (also known internally as Reaching for new heights). The celebration was graced by Chancellor Tan Sri (Dr.) Tony Fernandes, Datuk Ir Abdul Rahim Hashim, Vice Chancellor of the University of Malaya, Professor Dr Medwin Hughes, Vice Chancellor of the University of Wales (UW), Professor Simon Haslett, Pro Vice Chancellor of UW, as well as fellow respective IUMW Board Members.

The university has come a long way since 2014, when the first batch of only 12 students received their scrolls during the very first convocation ceremony. IUMW ends 2019 with over 800 graduates, and over 1800 active students. We would like to offer our warmest congratulations to the IUMW Class of 2019, here’s wishing you the best on your journey ahead.
