Message by Professor Dr. Hamzah A. Rahman
President of International University of Malaya-Wales
Professor Dr. Hamzah A. Rahman received his higher education training locally and abroad. He has vast experience at senior management level in several portfolios at the University of Malaya. His research interests include advanced organizational management, construction innovation & sustainability, project & facility management, building energy efficiency, industrialized building system (IBS), and renewable energy application in buildings, evidenced by his vast publications. He is a fellow member of the Royal Chartered Institute of Surveyors (RICS), UK and a member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).

Message by Steve Griffiths
Vice President of International University of Malaya-Wales
Steve Griffiths graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University. He has taught at Swansea University and subsequently Swansea Metropolitan University, now part of University of Wales Trinity St David. He was the Programme Director for the BA Business portfolio and the Director of the MBA portfolio and Centre for Post Graduate Studies. Steve leads a number of research activities and his research interests include Internet business ethics, application of competition models, SME management and Internet marketing. Steve has relished the opportunity of joining the IUMW as its Vice President. He brings his experience of working with UW centres in India, North Africa, Indonesia, Japan, The People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong and various universities in Europe. An important part of his role is to establish close links to students, teachers and researchers in Wales, to make IUMW the Malaysian branch of the UW.
“IUMW represents an exciting new venture to build on the strengths of two prestigious “parents”, University of Malaya and University of Wales. By mixing the need for academic quality and employability, IUMW is grounded in good practice in academic endeavor and applications to the workplace.
